Extra SNAP benefits coming to an end Aug. 1. All SNAP households will go back to receiving the regular monthly benefit amount they received before the pandemic starting Aug. 1, according to the S.C. Department of Social Services. During the pandemic, the department brought all authorized households up to the maximum benefit allotment regardless of income.
