Now that Firefly has soaked the Southeast in Sweet Tea Vodka, it’s time for them to spread their wings and fly westward. A looming “On the Fly” tour will have an RV, driven David Childs and Andy Whitfield, pulling up to some of the most popular events and venues in the country over the next six months.

Co-founder Scott Newitt came up with the idea after he drove an RV across the U.S. with his family. He couldn’t think of a better way to promote his product, and Childs and Whitfield were more than willing to trek across the country, giving out vodka and attending cool events.

The two will be on the road from Feb. 11 to Aug. 31 in a 35-foot RV wrapped in the Firefly logo. Their stops will include South by Southwest (SXSW) in Austin, Cinco de Mayo in San Francisco, Sasquatch Music Fest in Seattle, and Summerfest in Milwaukee. They’ll be handing out T-shirts and Frisbees, having Guitar Hero face-offs, and even giving out samples of Firefly at certain bars for customers to try.

“This is really a great opportunity for me at [23] to go out and see the country with my best friend,” says Whitfield, adding that he and Childs are purposefully seeing less of each other in preparation of the six-month road trip where they’ll be spending every minute together. The two will be vlogging, blogging, and maybe even tweeting their journey. “Right now we’re learning how to blog our experiences properly. Have you seen the Weinermobile blog? It’s epic.”

They’ll be kicking off the tour at the Mt. Pleasant Waterfront Park on Thursday, Feb. 11 at 10 a.m. Be there to wish them bon voyage as they embark on their own epic tour.
