The track, “Gasoline,” off their 2008 self-titled album, is one you don’t hear as often as some of their more recent earworms like “Birmingham” and “Keeper.”The performance comes to a PBS station near you on October 19.

Shovels and Rope has been busy crisscrossing these here 50 states over the past few months on a marathon nationwide tour and announced just today that they would be playing in support of the Avett Brothers on New Year’s Eve in the Avetts’ hometown of Charlotte.
