South Carolina-native actress Viola Davis narrated a new 60-second TV ad released by Democratic candidate for U.S. Senate, Jaime Harrison.

Polls show Harrison is running neck-and-neck against U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham while also out-raising him — and everyone else, to be fair.

Davis, who won a 2016 Oscar for her work in Fences, grew up in St. Matthews, South Carolina. She’s also known for starring in the TV series, “How to Get Away with Murder,” as well as the films The Help, Doubt and others.

“We didn’t have much, but I was taught to believe with hard work, strong values, and the opportunity to succeed, you can do anything. That’s why I’m supporting Jaime Harrison,” Davis said in a press release sent by the Harrison campaign.

The latest ad comes days after Harrison reported a $57 million fundraising quarter, the most ever raised by any candidate for the U.S. Senate.
