The Exchange Club of Metropolitan Charleston will host “Wine Down for Windwood,” a virtual tasting and silent auction benefiting the Windwood Farm Home for Children. Charleston master sommelier Patrick Emerson of Curated Selections Distributors will lead the tasting, which will take place Friday, Nov. 20 at 5:30 p.m.

Proceeds from ticket sales and a silent auction featuring a weekend getaway to Kiawah Island, a one night stay at the Hotel Bennett, jewelry from Skatell’s and more will go to children at the Windwood Farm Home who are recovering from severe trauma often caused by abuse and neglect, a press release said.

“Our goal is simple — to end the devastating effects of child abuse and neglect in the Lowcountry,” said Windwood Farm executive director Debbie McKelvey in the release.

Windwood Farm opened in 1985 and has since served over 500 young boys and adolescents. Currently, Windwood Farm’s residential programs are licensed to serve 27 children at a time. The 110-acre residential campus is located along the Wando River in Awendaw.

Purchase tickets online before picking up wine on Nov. 10, 12, 16 or 18 at Windwood Family Services (900 Johnnie Dodds Blvd.) or Carolina One Realty (1265 Folly Road).
