Warby Parker is opening its doors Tuesday in downtown Charleston at 415 King St. — the trendy national eyewear company’s first retail store in the Palmetto State.
Opening weekend will be celebrated with Fuzzco-designed hats available as a free gift with purchase starting Nov. 28, featuring a historic Charleston window-pane design (while supplies last).
Warby Parker is also partnering with Babas on Cannon over the weekend to treat visitors to Warby Parker glass-bottled hibiscus soda (while supplies last).
Warby Parker started as an online-only retailer and has expanded its brick-and-mortar retail presence in recent years. Until now, the closest locations were the company’s two stores in Charlotte.
Behind the scenes, Warby Parker has designed and implemented protocols to ensure safe shopping experiences for guests and employees, including one-on-one guided shopping, a limited capacity, contactless checkout and enhanced sanitation.
Warby Parker King Street is open Monday through Saturday, 11 a.m. until 7 p.m., and Sunday, 12 p.m. until 6 p.m.
