[image-1]Warehouse co-owner James Groetzinger has officially partnered with Zach Smith of beverage company Dalai Sofia Ferments, and they’re bringing the locally sourced good-for-your-gut drink to more than 20 restaurants and grocers.

The ‘booch is now offered at Xiao Bao Biscuit, Five Loaves, Caviar & Bananas, Basic Kitchen (which carries an exclusive flavor made to compliment the new eatery’s uber fresh menu), and more.

The ingredients in the fermented bevs are sourced from local farms including Charleston Tea Plantation, Spade and Clover, and Fresh Future Farms. Currently, Sofia Dalai offers four flavors — Fat Beets, The G-Spot, Bee Well Tonic, and This ‘Lil Peach — and plans to debut a new product line at the Charleston Wine + Food Festival.

According to their website, “at Dalai Sofia, we consider the role of sustainability throughout our process. One of the reasons we fell in love with the Lowcountry was its unique ability to provide nearly all of the ingredients needed to make high quality kombucha.”
