Friday Head out to Coastal Cupboard to sharpen your cooking knives for charity.

It’s hair of the dog time for the post-Halloween shenanigans. Celebrate the Day of the Dead at three different parties this weekend. Basico‘s starts at 8 p.m. on Friday with ghost chile-inspired specials. Yo Burrito has its own party on Friday night too. Its drink specials should be able to help you reach an all time drunk. Good luck in your quest for rock bottom. Ride the three-day party bus to Mex 1 for its own Day of the Dead Block Party on Saturday.

Now that Halloween is over, we can start the Christmas countdown. Screw Thanksgiving. Start with the Holiday Craft Show.

The Digital Bookmobile National Outreach Tour heads to Charleston. Hop on the bookmobile for the low price of $0 and educate yourself about the digital offerings the library has. 

We lied, Halloween isn’t quite over. Check out the Halloween party at the Celtic Knot. Montreux Bar and Grill is keeping the spooky festivities going too with its costume contest. I’ll be going as a sexy horseshoe crab — don’t steal my idea.

Saturday Wake-up early and walk, bike, or run the James Island Connector for the charity charity to benefit students with physical disabilities.  

Celebrate the Harvest Festival with some bluegrass and BBQ at Mullet Hall.

Sip on more than 60 craft beers (it’s unlimited tastes too) at the Mt. P Beerfest. Soak up the suds with some food, and enjoy live music as you boozily pass the day.

Head to the Pourhouse to hear the Bama Gamblers.

Comic Charlie Presents: Dark Side of the Dead is exactly what it sounds like if you think about it. And that would be a band covering the Dark Side of the Moon album between two sets of Grateful Dead covers.

Compete in the first round of the Lowcountry Blues Club Blues Challenge at Smokey’s Place. The grand prize winner receives a trip to Memphis to compete in the international challenge.

Bottle’s Anniversary Party has free tastings, cigar rolling demonstrations, specials on booze, and giveaways. That’s a good Saturday treat.

Sunday Pearlz in West Ashley has all-you-can-eat oysters for $12 at its roast.

Guess what’s back? Back again? It’s the Coastal Carolina Fair. And with all the other awesome activities going on this weekend, we understand why you had to wait until Sunday to make it there.
