We’re closing in on Saint Nick’s day, y’all, and it’s the fourth night of Hanukkah. Put down the wrapping paper, turn off the computers and cell phones and TVs, hide your planner for a couple of days. The maids don’t need to be milking, the pipers don’t need to be piping. It’s Friday, and there are a lot of fun events — live music, tacky sweater yoga, art markets, and even a tequila garden — to attend all around the city. Take a break from the busy and slow down for the weekend — we’ll just call it an early Christmas present. Check out the deets below:

Friday

Wanna meet R2D2, Han Solo, and Yoda in the flesh? Head to Terrace Theatre tonight from 6 to 10 p.m. and socialize with Star Wars characters before a screening of The Last Jedi.

Sol Driven Train and the Motown Throwdown play at Pour House starting at 8 p.m.

Grace Joyner, 2 Slices, Snakemusk and Gold Light, and Fortune Teller take the stage at Royal American starting at 9 p.m.

Get in the spirit with the ghosts of Christmas Past, Present, and Future. Charleston Stage presents A Christmas Carol at 7:30 p.m. tonight, tomorrow night, and Sun. at 3 and 7:30 p.m.

SportsBook’s Holiday Comedy Showcase brings free standup comedy, tacky Xmas sweaters, and merrymaking galore. Fun starts at 9 p.m.

Head to What If? Productions at 84 1/2 Society for their non-traditional holiday show, Feathers & Teeth. Trust us, it blows Frosty and the Snowman out of the water. You can catch the show tonight and tomorrow at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday at 6 p.m.

Saturday

Enjoy some live music under the oaks with Deadwin at Tattooed Moose Johns Island from 3 to 6 p.m.

Sip some brews at happy hour with Joe Cunningham and Gov. Martin O’Malley at Bay Street Biergarten starting at 3:30 p.m.

It’s the third annual Holy City Holiday Market at Holy City Brewing from noon to 6 p.m. There will be more than 30 vendors and guests can bring a toy to donate to the MUSC Shawn Jenkins Children’s Hospital.

Ill Vibe the Tribe presents Art Binge III at Royal American starting at 8 p.m.

Nothing says Merry Christmas like a tequila garden, right? Head to Bay Street Biergarten from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. for tequila cocktails, tacos, and the chance to win a prize pack from Lunazul Tequila.

Sunday

Shop local at the Thrifters + Drifters Holiday Market from noon to 5 p.m. at Royal American.

Shop, brunch, and sip at the Pour House Sunday Brunch Farmers Market from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

You can exercise and be merry, believe it or not. Don you tackiest Xmas sweater and get into downward dog at Holy City Brewing’s ugly sweater yoga class from 10 to 11 a.m.

Pigeonhole, a Jewish deli, pops up at Workshop just in time for Hanukkah. Feast on bagels, lox, eggs, and sufganiyot from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Head to Marion Square from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for the Kwanzaa Holiday Market.

Marion Square is also the site of Chanukah in the Square, a free and family friendly celebration — and the largest annual Jewish event in the state of South Carolina — happening from 4 to 6 p.m.

It’s one of your last chances to catch a holiday concert — head to the Lightsey Chapel at 4 p.m. for the Charleston Symphony Orchestra’s Holiday Pops Concert.
