The Nassau Street Side Show event at Charleston Wine + Food could have been described as a food festival on acid … mixed with hair metal, sprinkled with carnies, fueled by booze, all along side a custom airbrush hat station.
By far this CWF event was anything but normal and polished. That was the intention, though, and festival goers lapped up every last bite. The atmosphere was rocking with Glamnation setting the heavy tone. Bob Peters of Charolette’s Punch Room was mixing cocktails with local booze from Virgil Kane.
Maybe it’s my carnie blood, but this was my favorite event to date. Well done.
