She Drives Me Crazy
34 West’s latest romantic comedy play, She Drives Me Crazy, has eight performances in September. The play is straight out of the ’90s, described as a mix between famous sitcoms Friends and Seinfeld. Performances take place Thursday through Saturday. Purchase tickets in advance as seats are filling quickly. A menu of champagne cocktails, wine, craft beers, sodas and savory snacks will be available.

Tuffy Tiger: Live & In Orange
Grab the kids and catch a live-action puppet performance featuring Tuffy Tiger at The Flowertown Players community theater. The event includes fun family activities, like crafts, as well as puppet characters and original music. The show takes place on the first Saturday of each month September through February. Children are invited to create puppets of their own and get a chance to meet Tuffy following each show. There will be a confetti pop at the end of the performance. Kids are welcome to sit on the floor in front of Tuffy.

Edisto Beach Shag Festival
The top beach bands and shag dancers in the Southeast will gather during Labor Day weekend for the Edisto Beach Shag Festival. Food and drinks will be available for purchase. Guests can also participate in arts and crafts. Friday festivities take place 3-11 p.m., including a shag lesson and a performance from Band of Oz at 7 p.m. Saturday activities happen from 12-11 p.m. including a shag competition and exhibition, plus a show by The Entertainers at
7 p.m. More festivities will take place Sunday from 12-8 p.m., including a performance by Shag Doctorz at 4 p.m. Guests are encouraged to bring chairs, but no coolers or pets allowed.

Southern Lit Spectacular: Book Readings
The event will feature The Lost Book of Eleanor Dare by Kimberly Brock, The Cicada Tree by Robert Gwaltney, One Good Mama Bone by Bren McClain and Gradle Bird by JC Sasser. Tickets include book readings, book signings, a reception and a gift certificate toward a featured book purchase. VIP tickets include seating in the first five rows and all four books.

Play Dayz
School is back in session, but that hasn’t stopped Play Dayz from taking place on the first Tuesday of every month. Mount Pleasant Towne Centre’s Sept. 6 Play Dayz event will be martial arts-themed, focusing on essential self-defense skills with Mount Pleasant Family Martial Arts. Guests can take a break from their training and enjoy arts and crafts, snacks, face painting and balloon animals. This event is free to everyone and parents can register their children upon arrival.
