Our event calendar is a great place to start whenever you’re looking for what to do around Charleston. Here are some highlights of the upcoming New Year’s Eve celebrations. Have one to add? Email samantha@charlestoncitypaper.com.

Start your New Year’s Eve day off with some sweating and stretching at Holy Cow Yoga Center’s NYE Flow & Let it Go with Steven Willard.

Head to Lofi Brewing for the Extra Chill New Years Eve Party featuring local artists Human Resources, Slim & The Psycodelics & more. Charleston vintage vendor The Almighty Apparel will also host a holiday market with local vendors during the event.

One of the most anticipated New Year’s Eve events, the Folly Beach Flip Flop Drop is happening again on Center Street. Watch the flip flop light display drop at midnight followed by fireworks. The next day, head back to Folly Beach for the 8th Annual “Bill Murray Look-a-Like” Polar Bear Plunge. Registration for the plunge begins at 11 a.m.

Downtown, The Commodore will ring in the new year with live music and bites — tickets available now.

Marketed as the “most affordable all-inclusive New Year’s Eve party,” The Alley’s New Year’s Eve will feature a silent disco, open bar, free bowling and arcade games, a Champagne toast and more.

Channel your inner Taylor Swift during Uptown Social’s Feeling’ 22 Party with a pizza party from 8-9 p.m., a four-hour top shelf open bar from 8:30 p.m.-12:30 a.m. and two DJs — one on the downstairs main stage and another on the rooftop.

Join Patti O’Furniture at Union Station downtown for drinks, dancing and more.

Head to Trio for a performance by rapper Chingy and DJ Borgeous.

A $25 cover at The Royal American gets you in the door for a set by DJ Kevbo, a chili and wings bar and a “Champagne” toast.

New Year’s Eve on the Creek features live entertainment and food from Tavern & Table and Red’s Ice House included in one ticket.

For a more laidback New Year’s Eve, book a reservation at Maya del Sol Kitchen’s New Years Eve Dinner, serving a five-course chef’s table dining experience and drink pairing.
