[image-1]The fifth annual Charleston Comedy Festival, organized and produced by the diligent The Have Nots! Comedy Improv Company and the City Paper, present an audience-judged Charleston Stand-up Competition at the Music Farm on Wed. Jan. 16. Hosted by the greatly-missed Kenny “Kenny Z” Zimlinghaus, the showcase will feature up to 20 local and regional comics. Zimlinghaus is remembered best among locals as a wise-crackin’ stand-up comedian and radio morning show host who recently worked for more than two years on the air at 96 Wave (the “station’s” web site is currently down) with co-host Storm Zbel on the “Storm & Kenny Radio Show with Stupid Mike.” He’s scheduled to perform and emcee two stand-up gigs, too — on Fri. Jan. 18 and Sat. Jan. 19 (at 8 p.m.) at the Tonik Nightclub on King Street.
