The Red-Headed Stranger returns to the S.C. coast this week. Willie Nelson headlines a concert at the House of Blues in Myrtle Beach (4640 Hwy. 17 S.) on Fri. Jan. 22 with support from Lukas Nelson and Promise of the Real.

In 2008, as Nelson celebrated his 75th birthday, a slew of biographies and recordings hit the shelves as he and his band toured the country. The compilation album Naked Willie featured many songs from Nelson’s early RCA catalog. Nelson’s latest album, American Classic, is a jazzy production helmed by studio man Tommy LiPuma.

Advance tickets are available for $43. Call (843) 272–3000, or visit houseofblues.com and willienelson.com for more.
