Charleston will be recognizing Worlds AIDS Day (Dec. 1) with events on Friday, Nov. 30. Here’s a quick rundown.
November 30
• 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.: Victims of AIDS demonstration at the Cistern at College of Charleston
• 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.: Names Project Quilts to be displayed with information tables in the lobbies of Roper and St. Francis Hospitals,
• 11 a.m.- 2 p.m.: HIV Awareness table at The Citadel, Mark Clark Hall-Student Lounge
• Noon: Special Mass and Moment of Prayer in observance of HIV/AIDS at Chapel at St. Francis Hospital
• 4 p.m.: WAD quilts to be displayed at the Cistern at College of Charleston
• 5 p.m.: World AIDS Day Assembly and March begins in Marion Square
• 5:30 p.m. :World AIDS Day March from Marion Square to the Cistern at College of Charleston
• 6 p.m. :World AIDS Day Rally at the Cistern at College of Charleston, luminaries will be on display to honor those touched by AIDS
