In an August interview with David Sedaris, a master of dry, understated satire and contributor to the New Yorker, he told me about the “Stadium Pal,” the subject of this segment of the Letterman show. There wasn’t much left to be said. It’s an adhesive condom-like device that leads to an external catheter strapped to your leg and that allows you to urinate without the inconvenience of going to the bathroom. But Sedaris did have this much to add. “It really sticks.”
