Happy Cinco de Mayo week, everyone. There are plenty of places to celebrate the Mexican holiday around town and we’ve rounded up a few that are throwing parties and featuring food and drink specials. Mex 1 Coastal Cantina

Mex 1’s Cinco de Mayo Block Party throws down with a DJ set from the Dubplates, live music from the Midnight City Band, outdoor bars, food tents and local vendors. Buy tickets online.

Mex 1’s local charity partner for the event is Warrior Surf Foundation, who will be having a live raffle night of the event. 

Lewis Barbecue & Rancho Lewis
Downtown. 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Both of John Lewis’ joints will be serving up $5 green chile margaritas all day this Cinco de Mayo. Guarantee a seat at Rancho Lewis by making a reservation on Resy

Charleston’s Smallest Bar
Downtown. All day.

Nestled between Coast Bar & Grill and 39 Rue de Jean on Hutson Alley, Charleston’s Smallest Bar celebrates its two year anniversary this weekend and the fun culminates on Sunday with specials on tacos, frozen margaritas and $2 Coronas.  

Coterie
Downtown. 12 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Coterie chef Damian Sandoval will be cooking up Mexican street food during this Cinco party, which also features drink specials sponsored by Lalo Tequila. 

Edisto River Brewing
Johns Island. 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Edisto River Brewing celebrates Cinco de Mayo with an all-you-can-eat Mexican buffet catered by Next Course Food Truck ($15/pp). Enjoy live music from Uncle Gary’s Band and drinks like Mexican lagers and margaritas.

Ritual
Downtown. All day.

Head to Ritual’s rooftop for margs, bites and DJ sets all day long this Cinco de Mayo.

Maya
Downtown. 12 to 9 p.m.

Celebrate “Cinco de Maya” this holiday with a DJ, drink specials from Tequila Ocho and more. Guarantee a spot by booking a reservation online.

Taco Boy
Folly Beach, Downtown, Summerville. All day.

Celebrate Cinco de Mayo at all three area Taco Boys with tequila specials and music from local DJs.

El Molino Supermarket
West Ashley, North Charleston. All day.

Head to El Molino for a sweet deal this Cinco: taco box, chips, guacamole, cheese dip and T-shirt for $65.99.

Pink Cactus
Downtown. 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Celebrate Cinco all day long at Pink Cactus where you can snag $5 house margs, $30 pitchers and $5 queso. 

Container Bar
Downtown. 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Celebrate Cinco de Mayo at Container Bar with drink specials like $5 house tequila and margs and $10 Los Sundays Tequila specialty cocktails. 

Condado Tacos
Mount Pleasant. May 4 and May 5

Condado Tacos celebrates the double holiday weekend with both a May the Fourth Be With You party on Saturday and a Cinco celebration on Sunday. Nosh on “Skywalker Nachos” on Saturday and all weekend long sip on $6 shots of Teremana Blanco Tequila. 

El Jefe
Downtown. May 3 through May 5.

El Jefe celebrates six years in Charleston — and Cinco de Mayo — this weekend with $6 Coronas and $6 frozen margs. 

Papi’s Taqueria
Isle of Palms. All day.

Papi’s Taqueria is, according to their Instagram, whipping up some “delicious specials” to celebrate Cinco this Sunday. Try out the Mexican candy shot, made with Lunazul Blanco tequila, fresh watermelon puree and a dash of Cholula.

Firefly Distillery
North Charleston. 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Firefly Distillery hosts a Cinco de Mayo Brunch this Sunday with Firefly-style margs, moonshine margs and food from Rocket Burger food truck. 

Mesu
Downtown. May 4 and 5.

Mesu kicks off Cinco celebrations on Saturday at 4 p.m. with tequila tastings and late night drink specials. Head back to Mesu on Sunday, when the bar and restaurant opens early, at noon, for music by DJ CurrySauce and a full taco menu. 

Sportsbook of Charleston
Summerville. Noon.

The Cinco de Mayo celebration at Sportsbook of Charleston at Nexton Square features $3 margaritas. Need we say more? The food menu will also be Cinco inspired and guests can enjoy live music from Equal Rights from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
