Mayor Joe won reelection with nearly 64 percent of the vote. I think Dudley Gregorie did a lot better than a lot of people expected him to (with 29 percent).

Gary White’s win in District 1 gives Daniel Island its first council member.

You could say James Lewis sneaked a win in for District 3, but I’d suspect that Luqman’s votes would have probably gone to him even if it was a two-person race.

Jimmy Gallant and Louis Waring’s wins are no surprise. Though it looks like this may be the last four years for both.

And I think the story everyone will be talking about is Tim Mallard’s strong (very strong 63 percent) win in District 11.
