It’s stuck way up Ashley River Road, but judging from the packed parking lot, locals know to head to Sunflower after church on Sunday. Here, the grub is delivered with a warm smile — from stacks of hotcakes to sandwiches layered with sliced filet mignon. We go for the Benedicts, with crab and country ham, and the knowledge that this local family-run place rarely gets it anything but just right.
