City Paper is always searching for Scene contributors. We’re looking for strong, witty writers with an adventurous, social personality. This freelancing position requires you to attend local events and write a brief yet entertaining article depicting the scene, due the day after the event. The ability to pick up on interesting details is key. It’s also important that you have a camera and know how to use it. For larger events, we expect more photos, to be posted in slideshows and on our Flickr page. Payment is per article, plus entrance into events. Suggestions for events to cover are always welcome.
