Preparing a holiday dinner can be a lovely, family experience or a nervous breakdown-inducing nightmare. If the latter sounds more familiar, or if you just want to spare your family the hassle of fighting over whose year it is to do dishes, take a look at these dining out Christmas options.

If you do decide to dine out, make sure you make a reservation. They’re required almost everywhere.

Creamy tomato bisque, sweet tea glazed salmon, and cranberry bread pudding are just a few options featured on the Christmas Day menu at Poogan’s Porch. The restaurant is offering a special menu with three courses for $42.95 per person. Guests will select from a diverse selection of appetizers, entrees, and desserts. Hours are 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. and the full menu can be found on their Facebook page.

Moving west down Queen Street, 82 Queen is also offering a special menu on Christmas Day. 82 Queen’s menu will be a la carte but features a selection of holiday drinks, appetizers, and entrees. The menu contains 18 special options including, mimosas for $10, roasted sweet potatoes for $9, and a roasted Cornish game hen for $27. The restaurant will be open 5-9 p.m.

Charleston Grill is also offering a Christmas menu that will be available Christmas Eve and Day. The menu is three courses offering five options per course at $85 per person. Guests are allowed to choose an appetizer, entrée, and dessert options include the pear and arugula salad, duck bourguignon, and chocolate pate. For Christmas Eve seating will be available 5-9 p.m. and for Christmas Day 4-9 p.m.

Other restaurants that will be serving this Christmas are Husk, Palmetto Cafe, McCrady’s, Macintosh, Blu, and Blossom.
