Roger Mooking

Celebrity Chef Roger Mooking, host of the television show Man Fire Food, really likes fire and heat.

He also really enjoys food, which is why he surfed (and turfed) his way down to South Carolina to film the premiere episode of his new show Man Fire Food, which will air June 3 at 9:30 p.m. on the Cooking Channel.

While in the Palmetto State, Mooking visited Scott’s Bar-B-Q in Hemingway, for Rodney Scott’s famous whole hog barbecue and “secret sauce.” He also stopped by McClellanville for a traditional oyster roast.

Mooking travels around the country in search of “interesting people with interesting stories who are cooking delicious food over fire.” Man Fire Food not only focuses on grilling and smoking, but also deals with methods of cooking as diverse as lava pits in the ground. Ironically, with all the focus Mooking places on heat he is a Canadian native.
