Though Zac Brown’s Southern Ground Music & Food Festival isn’t until October, the “Chicken Fried” songwriter has already lined up an impressive group of artists. And last week, they let it be known that many more performers had been added to the gig list.

Bands joining in on the event include the Dixie Chicks’ Natalie Maines, Fitz and the Tantrums, Blackberry Smoke, the Wood Brothers, Holly Williams, Levi Lowrey, Niko Moon, Dugas, John Driskell Hopkins and Balsam Range, Clay Cook, Coy Bowles and the Fellowship, AJ Ghent Band, and The Brothers Road. Also, Zac Brown Band’s nightly Super Sets will now feature special sit-in performances by Clare Bowen from the hit ABC show Nashville and classic country crooner Kenny Rogers.

Previously announced headliners include Willie Nelson & Family, Band of Horses, The Head & The Heart, Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue, Dawes, and Kacey Musgraves.

If this lineup makes your little music-lovin’ heart go all thump-thump, then you should grab your tickets now. For more information and tickets, visit southerngroundfestival.com. The Southern Ground Music & Food Festival will rock out at Blackbaud Stadium on Daniel Island Oct. 19-20.
