Mansueta’s Filipino pop-up owner Nikko Cagalanan and Umay Peruvian pop-up owner Carlos Paredes are teaming up to serve a 5-course dinner Monday, Sept. 20 at Renzo. Tickets for the meal, which will feature dishes like ceviche, pork adobo and Tarvin Seafood shrimp curry, can be purchased via Resy for $80 per person, Cagalanan said.

“We’ve actually been planning this collaboration for more than a year now,” he said. “We finally decided to just do it and give it a shot. And luckily [Renzo co-owner Nayda Hutson] offered us her space to do our collab there.”

Renzo will offer beverage pairings “if you’re into that sort of thing.” Look for “natural wines, cocktails, cider, beer, and anything else we think is a dope option alongside the evening’s menu,” according to the Resy event page

For Paredes, an Obstinate Daughter sous chef, the pop-up will serve as his first Umay event since January.

“It’s not something that I’m fully committed to, but I get to introduce Peruvian cuisine to the city,” Paredes told the City Paper in February
