The touring production of Wicked doesn’t hit town until next week, but buzz for the Broadway show is already high. The Coliseum/Performing Arts Center’s Alan Coker tells us it’s the biggest show in the history of the venue; whereas most Broadway shows bring in about three or four trucks, Wicked has closer to 14.
Coker says tickets for the two-week run are selling well, but there are still plenty available. Prices range from $52-$111 (plus fees), but there are also $25 tickets available through a day-of-performance lottery. A limited number of orchestra seats will be set aside for each performance, and anyone who shows up to the box office two and a half hours early will be entered in the lottery. There’s a limit of two tickets per person. Lottery participants must have a valid photo ID when submitting their entry form.
