From editor Stephanie Barna:

For us at the City Paper, it’s easy to completely check out for the final weekend of Spoleto. By this time, we’ve put our final Spoleto issue to bed and we’re exhausted from three weeks-plus of intense work and deadline pressure. But, there are still shows opening. Last night, Jennifer Corley saw Topdog/Underdog, presented by Columbia’s NiA Company at PURE Theatre in the Cigar Factory. Here’s an excerpt from her Grade A review: “NiA provides a top-quality production with excellent performances in a moving story that’s intense with symbolism, imagery, and theme (yet still rife with comedy). It’s well worth the inexpensive price of the ticket to catch some great regional theatre.” Read the whole thing here.
