Atomic Comics

Atomic Comics is a fun little shop just downtown enough to attract a little tourist traffic and just far enough off the beaten path to avoid abandonment by locals. There’s typically a healthy stock of new comics, along with everything from off-color greeting cards and Bitch Soap to a Catwoman piggy bank and Superman lunch boxes.

But don’t go looking for your books there yet. After a recent sale, Atomic moved out of its 451 King St. storefront. The comic racks, counter-tops, and a few character stand-ups litter an unfinished storefront at 499 King, but there’s no word on when that space will be up and running. The owners could not be reached for comment.
