City Bar

Downtown. 5 Faber St. 577-7383

Come on, now. It’s really no surprise that City Bar edged out Club Trio and won the coveted Best Dance Club award. With a bikini-clad bartender serving up shots in a hot tub, large couches, an aquarium in the middle of the bar, and giant TV screens, City Bar proves it’s the place to party on the weekends. Girls can try out their stripper-esque moves on one of the four poles, or relive a Coyote Ugly-inspired moment by dancing on the bars and stage. And at only $5 a night, the price is pretty hard to beat. Regulars love the City Bar because the atmosphere is relaxed. “It’s just a place that you can go to and have fun with your friends,” says Vicki, a regular City Bar clubber. “It’s so unpredictable! You never know what’s going to happen when you’re there!” says another City Bar regular. The wild spontaneity and atmosphere could very well signal the beginning of a new era of domination in the category.
