[image-1]So I got an e-mail early this morning from Ben Fagan’s mother admonishing me for noting that Ben had seven friends (we know he has more than seven friends) and that I didn’t note his real bio on the CBS website. She said that Ben doesn’t take himself too seriously. We here at Press Time like to think we don’t take ourselves too seriously either.
To prevent any more confusion: like the Bachelor Wrap, the TV blogs are tongue-in-cheek. Do I think that Nicole should have hit Kate on The Bachelor? No. Did I write that she should in the last Bachelor Wrap? Sure did.
But, in respect to Mrs. Fagan for being nice enough to e-mail, I’m posting Ben’s bio without comment. (I know — what’s the fun in that?)
Born in Boston, MA, Ben Fagan moved when he was six months old and was raised in Folly Beach, SC, near Charleston. In high school, he participated in junior varsity basketball and varsity football. He just graduated from the University of South Carolina in Columbia with a double major in business administration and marketing management, and a minor in Spanish. He is a member of Phi Beta Kappa. He is an avid surfer, performs in two bands and has a black belt in kung fu, acquired at the age of 12. He has also taught kung fu. He was previously the owner/operator of a small landscaping company. He describes himself as driven, charismatic and open-minded. He says he is driven by two things: music and the ocean. He enjoys swimming, running, lifting weights, biking, basketball and anything related to water-sports. He has three brothers and one dog, Austen, a black lab mix. He currently resides in Charleston, SC. His birth date is Feb. 28, 1984.
With that behind us, we’ll now return to poking fun at the pirate outfits and Ben’s “Charlitown” roots. On to the the Pirate Wrap … Arrhh!!
