So much variety will be packed into the six-hour stretch of the Piccolo Spoleto Finale at Hampton Park that staying for the entire length of it may well be the best way to wrap up the day. For those whose itineraries limit them to dropping in only for specific parts of the finale, here’s how it all breaks down: 4 p.m. — Adande African Drummers; 5 p.m. — Greek Line Dancers; 6:15 p.m. — Palmetto Oasis Belly Dancers; 7:30 p.m. — Israeli Jazz Trio; 8:45 p.m. — Israeli Wedding Music; 10 p.m. — Fireworks! The theme is weddings, in the style of various Mediterranean and Middle Eastern cultures, and dance, music, and food will be in abundance. Vendors of delectable dishes and arts and crafts from far away will be lined up and waiting and a hot air balloon will be on hand to take those so willing up for a breathtaking view of the Holy City. This is one for the entire family, a fun-filled extravaganza with a nice admission price (free, that is) that can even be chalked up as educational (that’s why your uncle will be standing there fixated by the gyrating bellies of the dancers — education, of course). —Jason Zwiker SATURDAY

Legare Farms, a nonprofit foundation teaching the Lowcountry about the history and importance of agriculture, is hosting its fifth annual Sweet Corn Festival. They’ve thought of everything, too: pony rides, a jump castle, a dunking booth, face painting, a bubble station, a farm animal exhibit, and more — including a corn-shucking contest and sprinklers to play in! Not to mention the food, which naturally consists of sweet corn on the cob, as well as other fresh vegetables, snow cones, barbecue, boiled peanuts, and hot dogs. Ricky Rio, The Mason Dixon Band, and Celtic band Na Fidlieri will be performing live all day also. Legare Farms’ jams, jellies, salsas, pickles and other fresh produce will be available for purchase. Get ready to dance the night away under the stars this Saturday at the Edwin S. Taylor Folly Beach Fishing Pier for the kickoff of the Moonlight Mixers summer series, hosted by the Charleston County Park & Recreation Commission. Local DJ Rob Duren will spin the hottest oldies and beach music while beverages are available for purchase on-site, and food will be available at Locklear’s Beach City Grill and Gangplack Gift & Tackle Shop, located at the entrance to the pier. Tickets are limited and must be purchased in advance online, by phone, or in person at Park Program Services at 861 Riverdale Dr. So get a ticket and put on your dancing shoes for an evening of good, clean fun for grown-ups. This Saturday kick-starts the Summer Movie Series at the new Riverfront Park at the old Naval base, presented by North Charleston’s Cultural Arts Department. Hundreds of people will be able to enjoy new, family-oriented movies while sitting near the water’s edge and under the open sky. Free to the public, these new movies will be projected onto a large wall in the park, and all you need to bring is a blanket or chairs. It’s definitely a great alternative to a dark, cold, overpriced movie theater. Don’t miss this Saturday’s show, where you and the family will be taken to a far-away kingdom on some crazy and funny adventures with a very unlikely fairy tale crew. SATURDAY
