“I’m not running this race to make some social statement,” Jim Neal said. “I’m running to lead in the Senate for the voters in NC — something Sen. Dole has not done.”

Ex-gay gospel singer headlines Obama gospel concert in Columbia.

“McClurkin wrote on a Christian Web site in 2002 that he struggled with homosexuality after he was molested by male relatives when he was 8 and 13. ‘I’ve been through this and have experienced God’s power to change my lifestyle,” he wrote. “I am delivered and I know God can deliver others, too.'”

ENDA is up for a vote on Wednesday.

Rep. Tammy Baldwin (D-WI) proposed an amendment that would reinstate gender identity and secured the support of House leadership to introduce it Wednesday when ENDA reaches the floor.
