Panhandlers. The homeless. Identity thieves. Sex predators. Al Parish. All worthy competitors. But this was the year of Methicillin-Resistant Staphylococcus Aureus, a.k.a. MRSA, a particularly nasty bug that seemingly had a grudge against children. Wash your hands people.
