The Charleston Civic Design Center is pleased to announce the photography competition, seeingGreen, in order to promote environmental awareness and highlight sustainable practices in and around Charleston.

The competition is open to all and will offer up to three cash prizes in two categories; open and youth (15 and under). All eligible photos must be taken in Charleston and include a depiction of how our community responds to sustainable challenges. The registration and submission deadline is Friday, March 21st, 2008. All eligible photos will be included in the April exhibition which will take place at the Civic Design Center, 85 Calhoun Street. The winners will be chosen based on the aesthetic quality of the photo and its effectiveness at depicting the community’s response to sustainable challenges in Charleston. All winners will be announced at the opening of the exhibition on Thursday, March 27th, from 6:00pm-8:00pm.
