High-profile defense attorney Andy Savage is looking to get out of the appeal for Al Parish, the local economist who defrauded investors out of more than $66 million while he loaded up on crap like worthless paintings, Disney prints, and dozens of yard gnomes. Parish was sentenced to more than 24 years in prison, even though the defense argued that anything over 18 years would be a “death sentence” because of Parish’s weight and heart condition.
