The spoken word artist, author, and designer has been tapped as the editor of The Post and Courier‘s weekly entertainment insert.
Amaker made the news public on his Facebook page.
He wrote that he has “full control over the content and the design. I can run anything, and I can hire people to do freelance work for me.”
He also spelled out his vision for a new Preview.
“I want this to be an open forum for us all. We can change so much in this community, and now have even more resources to get the word out. … I’m going to make Preview a lot more progressive/hip/forward-thinking/sexy. I was told that this section is my baby. It needs to have our stamp.”
I’m not sure whose “stamp” he’s talking about, but I’d guess he doesn’t mean the P&C’s.
Amaker starts on Sept. 29.
