More bad news for the Upper King Street area. rlee Collection, a Spring Street shop selling whimsical handbags, has cleared out. Apparently the decision was quick, unexpected, and they moved out virtually overnight. We checked her website, and owner Robin Lee Simmons posted yesterday, saying she’ll be involved with a trunk show at Rachel Gordon’s studio Feb. 26. So apparently, although the brick and mortar store is gone, she will remain an active local designer. We’re waiting to hear back from Simmons for an explanation of the quick decision.
