LANGERADO OFF

The 2009 Langerado Music Festival was canceled last week due to sluggish ticket sales. Already in its seventh year, Langerado was set to take place March 6-8 in Miami’s Bicentennial Park. “Langerado’s independent local promoters, faced with a very tough decision in a dismal economy, canceled the 2009 event only after every possible option was exhausted,” read a press release. All tickets purchased will be refunded. Visit www.musictoday.com and www.langerado.com for more information.

Mellow Mushroom’s “Winter Jazz Series” — presented by Jazz Artists of Charleston at 309 King St. — continues on Mon. Feb. 23 at 7:30 p.m. with singer/guitarist Duda Lucena, drummer Quentin Baxter, and bassist Kevin Hamilton. Check out www.voodootikibar.com and www.mellowcharleston.com for more.
