Verbena Salon on St. Philip Street is hosting a fun event on Thursday to help you cash in on any gold you’ve got taking up room in your jewelry box. Feb. 26, the girls night out event is complete with all the things we love — wine, cheese, and cold hard cash. They’ll give you cash money for your old gold jewelry while you sip vino and nibble snacks. Just bring in your unwanted white, yellow, and rose gold in a baggie and the folks at Verbena will weigh, verify, and dole out the cash. They say they’re paying 10 percent more than local competitors for your 10K, 14K, and 18K gold. If you can’t make it to the girls night out on Thursday, just bring your gold to Verbena in advance and your money will be available anytime after the party.
