Art’s Bar & Grill

413 Coleman Blvd. Mt. Pleasant

Loyal Art’s customer Charles Taylor is the best kind of barfly. He’s consistently on hand, always witty, and harmlessly (and almost annoyingly) enthusiastic about sports, rock ‘n’ roll, Silver Strike Bowling, and Michelob Light. When he saunters through the front door, the habitual refrain of “Charlie T!” fills the air. His knowledge of Charleston’s vintage band scene is encyclopedic. If a band or solo act dares an attempt to play “Come Sail Away” by Styx or “Roadhouse Blues” by the Doors, he’ll leap onstage and “sing” it. It wouldn’t be Art’s Bar & Grill without the guy.
