Tina Fey has some fellow political satirists in the mad men at West Of. Every week, the penultimate page of West Ashley’s community newspaper has a parody ad for Avondale hot-spot Voodoo. Right after the inauguration, it was a “report” on President Barack Obama ordering Air Force One to land in Charleston for Voodoo’s famed tater tots and high-gravity beers. The Secret Service warned a Lowcountry stop hadn’t been cleared for security: “We can’t land,” they said. “It’s too dangerous.” To this, the chief executive said: “Yes, we can!”
