The April Wine Spectator just gave a 90 to Amity Vineyard’s 2006 Winemaker’s Reserve Pinot Noir. If you love Oregon wines, you might want to head over to Laura Alberts on Daniel Island tonight. Co-winemaker Darcy Pendergrass will be on hand to discuss the wines and pair them with the meal.

The dinner starts at 7 p.m. with a poached and caramelized pear salad followed by oysters on the half shell with candied ginger and tomato caviar. The main entree is pan-seared salmon with chive glass pots, stewed lentils, sweet tea poached cherries, and buerre rouge. The meal ends with creme brulee.

Suddenly I’m very hungry.
