Yesterday we braved the monsoons and headed to a classic home on Rutledge for the launch party for Library: Archives of Fashion. Owner Lauren Lail doesn’t have a storefront yet, and she doesn’t know if that will be happening anytime soon, but a big room in her gorgeous house serves perfectly well for now. As we sipped on champagne, we browsed her extensive collection of high-end vintage clothing, shoes, scarves, belts, bags, and more. Lauren travels the country to find great pieces that transcend time and trends like cowboy boots, bright yellow Christian Dior pumps, and classic dresses from many different eras. We ran into Marysia, the winner of the emerging designer competition, who said she’s really enjoying sleeping again. Keep checking back to Library’s website, which should be live soon, to find out about upcoming shows. —EJ
