Pleasant. He’s up and running these days with Charleston Sound — a 2,000-square-foot professional studio with top-notch gear for bands and musical acts in the region. e51f/1239393985-charlestonsound.building.jpg

In recent months, Hodges started booking sessions and tracking tunes on a wide array of analog and digital machines (a 32-channel analog console is the centerpiece). He’s already worked with Hootie guitarist Mark Bryan, singer-songwriter Martin Chalk, and other local artists.

“Charleston Sound was created to provide the Charleston area with the ultimate audio recording and production experience,” Hodges says in a mission statement. “From our unsurpassed studios to our well-appointed control room, the facility exudes excellence and invites the same.”

The studio is located at 2612 Larch Lane, Suite 107, in Mt. Pleasant. A few years ago, the old Fusion 5 facility off of Long Point Road was the hot top-of-the-line studio spot. Now, there’s a new kid n the block. Keep and eye and ear out for upcoming solo and collaborative projects. Visit www.charlestonsound.com for more.
