This month, we’ve been tuning into another cool new AM station — Kirkman Broadcasting’s 1340 The Boardwalk WQSC — and really enjoying the unusually broad range of oldies and obscure cuts in their playlists. In late March, Kirkland flipped the news-talk/sports format of Real 1340 AM to a mix of beach music, shag standards, ’60s soul, ’70s funk, with a few modern Americana/indie slots as well.
