My mother has a classic saying, “Pain is beauty.” I don’t believe that inherently, but I can say that America’s emphasis on comfort has put us in a fashion rut and it’s about time we all went through a little pain to look good again. This ultimately applies to the abomination that is the Crock. Never has a more heinous piece of footwear been created. Like a bloated corpse it sits swollen around ones feet ushering its wearer about like an over grown toddler. The look is merely intensified when said wearer adds a sock, typically of the multi hued variety, as if to say, “Yes, I’ve given up.”
I besiege you Crock wearers relinquish your rubber tootsie cushions, cast them aside like the adult pacifiers that they are; embrace a well tailored shoe and be proud once more.
