Songwriter Todd Snider heads back into town this week for a two-night stint at the Windjammer in support of his new album The Excitement Plan (Yep Roc) — a twangy collection that his labels describes as “at once social commentary, gypsy recession recovery plan, and soul-folk masterpiece.” Snider will hit the Windjammer stage on Thurs. Sept. 17 and Fri. Sept. 18.

With Grammy-winning producer Don Was (Bob Dylan, Rolling Stones) at the helm, Snider welcomed veteran studio guys Jim Keltner (drums) and Greg Leisz (guitars, lap steel) and special guest vocalist Loretta Lynn into the recording room during the recent sessions. Tickets for both shows are available at Etix.com for $15.
