Pecha Kucha Charleston returns next week for its first event of the year. This creative forum celebrates creative individuals that hail from various backgrounds. PK5 will be on Thurs. Jan. 21 at 7:30 p.m.

The presenters this time around include architect Kevan Hoertdoerfer, photographer Peter Frank Edwards, artist Nathan Durfee, Skirt! magazine editor Nikki Hardin, hat designer Leigh Magar, and tattoo artist and Holy City Tattoo owner Jason Eisenberg.

Tickets are selling fast at $5 per person and admission is limited to two per person/purchase. The location is yet to be revealed, but ticket holders will find out via e-mail three days prior to the event. Wherever it is, you can be sure that it’ll be in the downtown Charleston area. Attendees are required to show identification, so don’t forget to bring your I.D.

Is this the first time you’ve heard of Pecha Kucha, or do you need a refresher course? Here’s a nice little explanation.
