Shine, Charleston’s internationally infused, chandelier-happy restaurant is opening its doors to Sunday brunchers beginning Feb. 14.
A finalized brunch menu will be up on their website soon, but owner Dean Johnson says brunchers can expect to see items like a breakfast arepa, cornmeal blueberry pancakes, breakfast curry, and some traditional Southern fare for those who crave the Sunday brunch staples. Drink specials include $10 bottomless Mimosas and a Bloody Mary bar.
“I’ve been waiting to do this since we opened last year,” says Johnson, “it’s going to be an eclectic menu, something fresh for Charleston.”
Another weekly dining special at Shine that local foodies should be sure to check out, is their Curry Night every Wednesday. “I’m a huge curry nut,” says Johnson, “Moving here from NYC, I was spoiled with great Indian food, and I wanted to bring those flavors to Charleston. My goal is to have the best curry in town.”
Curry Night menu items change often, but you can expect different selections of lamb, chicken, and a vegetarian option. And for those who have grown keen to their nightly menu, not to worry, Shine offers their regular items on Curry Night too. They’re located at 58 Line St. in downtown Charleston.
