Grammy Award-winning folk singer/songwriter Shawn Colvin headlines the evening of Thurs. May 6 in support of a 15-song collection titled Live — a follow-up to 2006’s These Four Walls. The live album features a variety of new and old originals, plus reworkings of tunes by the Talking Heads, Robbie Robertson, and Gnarls Barkley.

Concert promoter Steve Simon (of Steve Simon Presents) brings the first annual Charleston Jazz Festival to the Music Hall on Sat. May 8.

Veteran songwriter John Hiatt — the gruff-voiced Nashville troubadour with an eclectic catalog — headlines a full-band show on Tues. May 11 behind a new soul-rock/Americana collection titled The Open Road.
