The Greater Park Circle Film Society is getting in on the North Charleston Arts Festival action with their Lowcountry Shorts Fest on May 8 at the Olde North Charleston Picture House. The free program is split into two blocks; the first (beginning at 7 p.m.) features films showcasing art and artists from around the world, while the second (beginning at 8 p.m.) premieres shorts by local filmmakers, including Justin Nathanson, Justin Lynch, Owen Hamilton, and Jeff Mackey. A reception in their honor will be held during a break between the blocks. Seating is limited, but society members can reserve tickets.
